    What you will learn

     

    The purpose of the course is to give participants a broad understanding of all the products listed on the Nasdaq Commodities exchange with weight on the Nordic and European power market. You will receive a clear understanding of the financial marketplace, the role of the different market participants, the products and markets that are offered in addition to trading and settlement, clearing and surveillance services.

    Nasdaq Commodities offers derivatives within Nordic and European power, natural gas, carbon emissions, and electricity certificates in addition to clearing services. You will gain deeper insight into product structures in this course and how hedging based on financial contracts, combined with physical procurement at national or regional spot markets, work together.

    After the course, you will have a clear understanding of the difference between the physical and financial marketplaces, the role of the different participants, the products and markets offered in addition to trading and settlement, clearing and surveillance.
