Exchange Traded Funds
Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are popular ETP products traded on Nasdaq Nordic. They combine the benefits of a fund with the flexibility of a stock. The ETFs listed on Nasdaq Nordic track the performance of indexes such as the OMXS30 ESG, OMXC25, OMXH25 and OMXI10. There are also ETFs that provide magnified exposure to indexes through leverage, which creates potential for greater daily returns.
Features
- Trading hours for ETFs are 09:00:25-17:25 CET on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Helsinki, 09:00:25-16:55 CET on Nasdaq Copenhagen and 09:30-15:30 GMT on Nasdaq Iceland.

Exchange Traded Notes (including Crypto ETNs) & Exchange Traded Commodities
Exchange Traded Notes (ETNs) and Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) are senior debt notes that track the performance of an index, a single asset or a basket of commodities or securities. ETN/ETC products listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Helsinki are collateralized which limits any credit risk on the issuer. They have an ETF-like creation and redemption structure and a market maker providing prices on an ongoing basis.
Crypto ETNs provide investors with regulated exposure to cryptocurrency markets. These products are designed to track the performance of underlying crypto assets within a securities framework for crypto investment. Crypto ETNs listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Helsinki comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Features
Trading hours for ETNs/ETCs are 09:00:25-17:25 CET on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Helsinki.
Alternative Investment Funds
Nasdaq's market for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) offers investors the opportunity to trade AIFs on a regulated market. The term AIF includes all investment funds that are not already covered by the European Directive on UCITS.
AIFs can be incorporated as either a public limited liability company, a limited partnership, a partnership company or, on the Danish market, also as a Capital Association.
Products on the Nordic AIF market are currently available on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Copenhagen while AIFs can also be listed on Nasdaq Iceland.
Features
- Trading hours for Alternative Investment Funds are 09:45-17:00 CET on Nasdaq Copenhagen, 09:30-17:25 CET on Nasdaq Stockholm and 09:30-15:30 GMT on Nasdaq Iceland.
- The NAV values are displayed on issuer websites, distributed by the issuer as company announcements/press releases and in specific cases also published on the Nasdaq microsite of the fund.
Actively Managed Funds
Nasdaq Nordic offers trading in Actively Managed Funds as a complement to Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on Nasdaq Helsinki and Nasdaq Stockholm.
One of the key differentiators of these funds is that an Actively-Managed ETF generally aims to create greater return through active management of the fund, compared to ETFs which passively track a particular index.
Features
- Trading hours for Actively Managed Funds are 09:30-17:25 CET (trading starts 30 minutes after trading in ETFs).
- Fund company provides indicative Net Asset Value (iNAV) a minimum of three times per day to the relevant Nasdaq Nordic exchange and to the market maker. Any significant changes in the iNAV are also published.
- The iNAV values are displayed on the Nasdaq Nordic website and disseminated through the Market Data feed.
