Proposed Amendments to the Exchange and Clearing Rules of Nasdaq Derivatives Markets (21 September versions)
Nasdaq Stockholm AB (the “Exchange”) and Nasdaq Clearing AB (the “Clearing House”) are proposing to amend the Exchange and Clearing Rules of Nasdaq Derivatives Markets.
The changes relate to the discontinuation of OTC Trade Reporting for Exchange listed Fixed Income Contracts, and the shortening of maturity for government futures to 3 months. The amendments include changes to Chapter 2 of the Clearing Rules, Chapter A of the Exchange and Clearing Rules, Chapter C of the Exchange and Clearing Rules and Appendix 1 to the Exchange and Clearing Rules – Quotation list.
Attached are amended drafts setting out these changes. The key changes are also summarized below for ease of reference.
The amendments presented herein may, if so requested, be subject to consultation with the Swedish Securities Markets Association, Exchange Members and Clearing Members in accordance with the relevant Exchange Rules and Clearing Rules.
Clearing Rules Chapter 2
- Reference to Fixed Income Contracts removed from section about registration of OTC transactions
Exchange and Clearing Rules Chapter C – Contract Specifications
- Changed text in “Listing of Series” in the derivatives that are exchange listed, with reference to Chapter A
- Reference to “Off-Book Transactions” added
- Update of “Final Time for Registration”, more in line with the wording for Equity Derivatives
- “Series Term” in Section C.9 updated from 6 to 3 months
Exchange and Clearing Rules Chapter A – Contract Specifications
- Text removed from Chapter C inserted
Exchange and Clearing Rules Appendix 1 – Quotation List
- Term on government futures changed from 6 to 3 months
The amendments will come into effect on 21 September 2026.
