About Rhona O'Connell
Rhona O’Connell has over 40 years’ experience as a metals markets analyst and is a recognised authority in the precious metals sector. She has worked in a number of aspects of the industry, including the mining sector, commodities broking at Rudolf Wolff where she was a major contributor to Wolff’s Guide to the London Metal Exchange, for the World Gold Council, in the equity markets and investment banking. In the latter role she was the Precious Metals analyst at Shearson Lehman, where she supported trading through equities to corporate finance.
She has held Extel ranking in the gold sector and has been the Association of Mining Analysts Commodities Analyst of the year. She joined StoneX in 2019 after a number of years working with metals analysts GFMS, latterly managing a team of more than 20. She holds an Honours degree in Law from the University of Cambridge.
