Introduction

On Saturday September 14th, 2024, Nasdaq Nordic will perform verification tests of the site failover functionality in the Genium INET Production and Nasdaq Equity Derivatives Trading Production (NDTS) environments. The systems will be available for Nasdaq Exchange and Clearing members for login and standard reference data and business queries. No other type of business functionality will be enabled. Members are recommended to take advantage of this opportunity to test their connectivity and ability to failover to the Nasdaq site B (PORT) datacenter. Please note that only participants that have connectivity access to site B (PORT) can participate in this test, i.e., Co-Lo customers with access to site A (VASBY) only can’t participate. Time plan

Time (CEST) Details Expected member action
10:00-11:00 Genium INET and NDTS Production systems available for login in the normal configuration. The Genium INET and NDTS systems will be available for login in normal configuration with site A being the primary site, allowing OMnet, ITCH and OUCH connectivity via both site A and site B, and FIX connectivity via site A (Genium INET) or via site A or site B (NDTS). The markets will be in closed state, with login allowed and business queries enabled. Markets will remain closed throughout the test.   Login to your primary address on site A (VASBY).
11:00-13:00 A controlled failover from site A to site B will be performed, simulating a complete loss of Genium INET and NDTS on site A. All accessibility to Genium INET and NDTS will hence be disabled until the failover to site B has been completed. Please note that network connectivity still remains active to site A datacenter to prevent impact for customers connecting to other Nasdaq services located at site A. The failover activities are estimated to be completed at 13:00 CEST at latest, from which time login will be available to site B only.   Prepare the redirection of your connections to site B (PORT). No logins to site B allowed before the failover has been completed.
13:00-14:00 Failover completed, and member login enabled to site B. Login will be available to site B only. Site A unavailable.   Login to your failover address on site B (PORT).
14:00 Test completed; Genium INET and NDTS system shutdown. Test completed, the Genium INET and NDTS Production systems will be shut down and configuration restored to normal weekend operation.   Restore your connections to normal configuration.
