About This Event

New 42, a leading NYC cultural nonprofit, visits the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to ring the closing bell to celebrate the nonprofit’s birthday. Recipient of a 2025 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, New 42 has brought extraordinary performing arts to millions of New Yorkers for 35 years. Founded in 1990 to revitalize 42nd Street’s historic theaters, it makes the performing arts accessible to all — through the New Victory Theater’s world-expanding performances for young audiences, New 42 Studios’ incubation of Broadway hits, and mentorship programs that build creative careers.
