Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: COPX

The Copper Miners ETF ( COPX ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 150,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 26,000. Shares of COPX were up about 3.1% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Freeport-McMoran ( FCX ), trading up about 2.9% with over 22.8 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Turquoise Hill Resources ( TRQ ), up about 4% on volume of over 5.3 million shares. Capstone Mining Corp (CS.CA) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 10.2% on the day, while Imperial Metals Corp (III.CA) is lagging other components of the Copper Miners ETF, trading higher by about 0.5%.
