In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Smurfit Westrock topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 11.0%. Year to date, Smurfit Westrock registers a 31.3% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Robinhood Markets, trading down 10.0%. Robinhood Markets is lower by about 31.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Moderna, trading down 9.1%, and Generac Holdings, trading up 10.2% on the day.
