In early trading on Monday, shares of Charter Communications topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 11.2%. Year to date, Charter Communications has lost about 28.8% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Ciena, trading down 5.9%. Ciena is showing a gain of 93.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Verizon Communications, trading down 5.6%, and Axon Enterprise, trading up 8.2% on the day.
