In early trading on Thursday, shares of Ralph Lauren topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.2%. Year to date, Ralph Lauren registers a 1.7% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Bank of New York Mellon, trading down 92.5%. Bank of New York Mellon is lower by about 91.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Intuit, trading down 19.6%, and Seagate Technology Holdings, trading up 4.2% on the day.
