In early trading on Friday, shares of Monster Beverage topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 12.6%. Year to date, Monster Beverage registers a 11.5% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is MercadoLibre, trading down 9.2%. MercadoLibre is lower by about 15.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Applovin, trading down 7.2%, and Micron Technology, trading up 7.3% on the day.
