Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) has secured a significant contract with Metro Madrid for 400 million euros to provide 40 new trains aimed at renewing and expanding Madrid’s metro fleet. These wide-gauge, single-voltage trains will serve lines 6 and 8, with a focus on high capacity and energy efficiency, supported by European Investment Bank loans. The deal also includes a life cycle optimization program, reinforcing a long-standing partnership between CAF and Metro Madrid.
