Ackermans & van Haaren (AvH) has partnered with STAR Capital to acquire V.Group, a global leader in maritime services, from Advent International. V.Group, headquartered in London, provides specialized services to the shipping industry, including technical and crew management for around 900 vessels and additional support for 2,500 ships, achieving significant turnover and operational cash flow in 2022. AvH’s investment of $150 million for a 33.3% stake in V.Group aligns with its focus on sustainable growth and market leadership in sectors with high entry barriers.
