During his visit to Nasdaq's LGBTQ Leaders Conference, The Rainbow Disruption founder and CEO Jarvis Sam sat down to share TRD's mission and what diversity, equity, and inclusion means for him and future generations.

Out of the journey that I remain on today is to show people you can exist at the highest levels of executive leadership and still create real impact in the world. The LGBTQ Leaders Conference is one of the most exciting experiences that happens every year. There's a huge opportunity for us to remind ourselves of the protest and resistance that started at Pride.
Understanding that we must continue through that journey to reach full potential in celebration. I'm very proud that the Nasdaq team has invited me to be a part of that journey. My goal was to center the idea of how do we democratize approaches to diversity, equity and inclusion. And so the mission of the rainbow disruption is just that to find ways and opportunity to help organizations unleash human potential by tapping into their various different areas of how they run their business.
To understand the power and potential of the. The reality is the workforce of the future not only sees this as a great opportunity or a good thing to do, but rather an imperative for everything that we do. Given that authenticity is such a critical point to driving inclusion in the workplace means that we have to obsess the creation of a culture of belonging where equitable outcomes for all becomes everything that we do.
For me, it is the ability to showcase to others who look like me and come from similar experiences as myself what is possible in life. It is understanding that your success is constantly building, growing and thriving to be different than the person that you were previously.
That the success, the ability for an individual to find, utilize and then leverage their voice in service of others. It's how we as leaders create space for others to thrive. I plan to rewrite history by giving people a blank canvas, to paint their own stories, find their voice so that they can understand how to change the world.
