Make-A-Wish® Rings the Nasdaq Stock Market Opening Bell

Published

Make-A-Wish® visits the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The experience can be a game-changer that brings hope, strength, joy and a sense of normalcy back into a family’s life. Make-A-Wish is the world’s largest wish-granting organization. Every day, more than 70 children are diagnosed with a critical illness. In the U.S. and its territories, a wish is granted every 33 minutes. As an organization that doesn’t receive annual government funding, and charge their families no fees, Make-A-Wish relies 100% on generous individual and corporate supporters that help grant wishes daily. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 585,000 wishes in 50 countries worldwide. In honor of the occasion, Tom Weatherall, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Jersey, rings the Opening Bell.
