Wednesday Sector Laggards: Semiconductors, Precious Metals

In trading on Wednesday, semiconductors shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.5%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Trio-Tech International, off about 13.5% and shares of GlobalFoundries off about 11.5% on the day.

Also lagging the market Wednesday are precious metals shares, down on the day by about 2% as a group, led down by Osisko Development, trading lower by about 4.1% and US Gold, trading lower by about 4.1%.
