US stocks end the day in the red but off lows

The US major stock indices ended the day down but little changed (and off the low lows).

For the week, the changes were also quite modest. The S&P index, for example, was down -0.01%. That is not a lot of wiggle room in the change.

  • Crude oil is up 0.23% on the day but up over 11% on the week. Brent Crude and Gasoline price were also up 10%
  • Gold was up a modest 0.12% on the week while silver slid -2.04%.

  • 2 year note yield 0.7451%, +4 basis points
  • five year note yield 1.1641%, +6 basis points
  • 10 year note yield 1.5781%, +4 basis points
  • 30 year bond yield 2.2861%, +3 basis points
