In trading on Thursday, general contractors & builders shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.5%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Hovnanian Enterprises, down about 11.6% and shares of Dream Finders Homes down about 3.8% on the day.

Also lagging the market Thursday are department stores shares, down on the day by about 1.7% as a group, led down by Gigacloud Technology, trading lower by about 4.5% and Walmart, trading lower by about 4%.
