That’s a big win for the S&P 500 as it means a 25-point interest rate cut is likely at the next Federal Reserve meeting. This is welcome news for the S&P 500 as the index is filled with tech stocks that double as growth stocks. Increased interest rates weigh on these stocks, making today’s news a positive sign for investors.

S&P 500 Stocks Seeing the Biggest Wins Today

Checking in on tech stocks, Apple (AAPL), Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT), Broadcom (AVGO), and several others are helping lift the S&P 500 higher today. Adding to that are major increases from Google (GOOGL), Meta Platforms (META), and Netflix (NFLX) in the communications sector. Finally, Amazon (AMZN) and Tesla (TSLA) are doing heavy lifting in the consumer market.

How to Invest in the S&P 500?

Investors can’t invest in the S&P 500 directly as it’s only an index. However, they do have a couple of options for gaining exposure to it. That includes purchasing shares of stocks listed on the index. Any of the ones mentioned above are major players on the S&P 500 that traders might want to consider taking a stake in.

The other option is investing in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track the S&P 500. A few worth considering are SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV), Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO), iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF (CSTNL) and SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG). Each of these is rising alongside the S&P 500 today.
