In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Intuitive Surgical topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 15.4%. Year to date, Intuitive Surgical registers a 2.3% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Texas Instruments, trading down 8.0%. Texas Instruments is lower by about 11.3% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Netflix, trading down 7.7%, and Amphenol, trading up 7.2% on the day.
