In early trading on Monday, shares of Amphenol topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 4.6%. Year to date, Amphenol registers a 8.5% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Synchrony Financial, trading down 6.6%. Synchrony Financial is lower by about 2.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Capital One Financial, trading down 5.7%, and Akamai Technologies, trading up 4.4% on the day.
