In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Super Micro Computer topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 16.2%. Year to date, Super Micro Computer registers a 48.3% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Northrop Grumman, trading down 3.5%. Northrop Grumman is lower by about 3.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Newmont, trading down 2.9%, and Advanced Micro Devices, trading up 7.7% on the day.
