In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Spectra Energy ( SE ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 12.3%. Year to date, Spectra Energy registers a 69.6% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Cummins ( CMI ), trading down 5.5%. Cummins is showing a gain of 35.5% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Centene ( CNC ), trading down 4.7%, and EOG Resources ( EOG ), trading up 5.3% on the day.
