Running A Business Website Made Easy

Many small businesses worldwide now have their own website, but not all of them are utilised to their full effect! Here are my tips for providing a great business website that will help your business to succeed:

Simple navigation: Many sites look absolutely wonderful, but some are barely functional. You need to make it simple for visitors to browse your website and quickly find the information they are looking for.

Get personal: It is vital for a small company to show people why they would want to do business with them. Your history and values are really important to potential customers, or else they would have chosen a big company.

Easy to contact: Don't hide your contact details away somewhere on the website. Email, telephone and business address should always be clearly visible.

Search Engine Optimisation: Your website should be designed so that you will receive high amounts of traffic from search engines. This will involve providing content on a regular basis.

Great content: Junk pages of content stuffed with keywords might be great for the search engines, but any potential customers are not going to be very impressed.

Broadcast: Any news relating to your business should be displayed on the homepage. As long as you regularly update, this will show visitors that your website is not dead.

Customer service: Make use of the website in order to provide excellent customer service. You should be able to reply very quickly to queries and could perhaps even provide a live support chat option.

I am a great advocate of businesses being online by having a website. Following these guidelines will enable your business to succeed and grow across the web, without the need for a significant time commitment. What have you got to lose?
