Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
SouFun (SFUN): Almost 3,400 March 5.50 calls were sold for $0.30 and $0.35 as investors looked to earn income from holdings in the Chinese real-estate company. SFUN rose 3.19 percent to $5.50.
Microchip Technology (MCHP): About 3,000 April 43 calls were sold for $2.75 and an equal number of April 46 calls was bought for $1.35. Volume was below open interest in the 43s, which suggests a bullish position was rolled up to the 46s. MCHP rose 1.30 percent to $45.07.
Kinross Gold (KGC): About 26,000 March 3.50 calls were sold for $0.03 to $0.05. Volume was below open interest, which suggests that traders abandoned long bets as precious-metal stocks retreated. KGC is down 2.38 percent to $2.87.
