Gold Fields (GFI): A block of 6,750 January 2017 4 calls were sold for $0.42 as traders looked to earn income on holdings in the miner. GFI rose 3.50 percent to $2.96.
Sony (SNE): Traders sold 14,500 January 25 calls for $0.15 to $0.25. Volume was below open interest at the strike, which suggests long positions were unwound as the stock declined. SNE fell 6.89 percent to $23.72.
Sotheby's (BID): Some 2,400 February 21 puts were sold for $0.35 as investors bet downside will be limited over the next month. BID fell 1.23 percent to $23.36.
