Notable option activity in equity names

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Albemarle (ALB): About 2,800 February 60 calls were purchased for $1.15 to $1.40 against as investors looked for the chemical stock to rally into next year. ALB rose 3.70 percent to $56.32.

SPDR Financial Fund (XLF): More than 10,000 February 25 calls were bought, mostly for $0.21, but volume was below open interest at the strike. XLF rose 0.67 percent to $23.91.

Market Vectors Russia Fund (RSX): Some 9,000 January 15.50 calls were bought for $0.25 to $0.30 as traders looked for upside in the country index. RSX rose 2.88 percent to $15.
