Mosaic (MOS): Traders bought 7,600 January 30 calls for $1.84 to $2.05, looking for upside in the fertilizer stock. MOS rose 0.29 percent to $30.97.
Newfield Exploration (NFX): About 5,100 January 39 calls were bought, mostly for $0.70 to $1, as investors looked for the oil driller to bounce. NFX fell 1.83 percent to $35.50.
VF (VFC): Almost 6,200 January 62.50 puts were bought as investors braced against downside in the apparel stock. The largest block fetched $1.55. VFC fell 0.12 percent to $64.32.
