Google 's (NASDAQ: GOOG ,NASDAQ: GOOGL ) Nest labs will release a new security camera .
The smart device is an outdoor camera that is waterproof, and it was developed by the tech giant thanks to a major acquisition that transpired in 2014.
Startup Dropcam was acquired by Google for $555 million, and the company used its security technology to develop the gadget, which is called the Nest Cam Outdoor.
Expect a fall launch for the Nest creation, which will retail for $199.
GOOG stock is up 0.6% Thursday, while GOOGL stock rose an even-better 0.9%.
