A new way to play Minecraft has been created by the game's developers.
You can now battle your opponents in "deathmatch" mode using weapons and other items found in chests that will appear randomly. Specific maps have been created to fight with your friends.
The multiplayer capability shows just how far Minecraft has come since the early days of building blocks, exploring the land and creating a virtual home.
Although mods have made battling available in the game, the "deathmatch" mode is now official and it will offer a simple, yet entertaining gameplay that should appeal to many.
