Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Alpha Natural Resources (ANR): An investor bought 10,000 January 5 calls for $0.73 and sold and equal number of January 7 calls for $0.25. Known as a bullish call spread, the trade cost $0.48 and will result in profit of 317 percent if the coal miner rallies by $7 by early next year. ANR fell 3.15 percent to $4.31.

Foot Locker (FL): Some 2,000 April 46 calls were sold for $1.20 as investors wager that upside will be limited in the specialty retailer. FL rose 0.43 percent to $46.52.

Brocade Communications (BRCD): Some 1,500 March 10 calls were bought for $0.40. Volume was below open interest, so the trader may have been exiting short calls to let his or her stock run higher with expiration looming tomorrow. BRCD rose 1.07 percent to $10.37.
