Staples (SPLS): Some 15,500 April 12 calls were bought, mostly for $0.15 and $0.20, as investors look for the office-supply company to rebound. SPLS fell 0.26 percent to $11.41.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber (GT): An investor sold 10,000 April 26 calls and rolled the position to the July 28 calls. Both priced for $0.85, so the trade cost him or her nothing. They now have an additional three months to profit from upside in the tire maker. GT fell 1.44 percent to $27.30.
Rowan (RDC): Almost 9,000 7,000 July 36 calls were bought, mostly for $0.70 and $0.75, as investors look for the ocean driller to bounce. RDC rose 1.25 percent to $32.31.
