Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Coeur Mining (CDE): Some 20,000 June 10 calls were bought in the silver producer, mostly for $1.30 to $1.55, as investors look for upside in the share price. CDE rose 3.59 percent to $10.97.
Viacom (VIAB): An investor bought 2,500 June 95 calls for $1.60 and sold 5,000 March 90 calls for $0.20 against open interest. It appears they rolled a position forward in time and reduced its size. VIAB rose 0.67 percent to $88.83. (See related story )
Newfield Exploration (NFX): Some 3,000 April 29 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.55 to $0.80, as investors look for upside in the oil stock. NFX rose 1.86 percent to $28.45.
