Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): More than 9,000 January 10 calls were bought, mostly for $0.71, as investors look for the lender to continue higher over the course of 2012. BAC rose 1.52 percent to $8.14.

Southwest Airlines (LUV): About 3,400 January 12.50 calls were bought for $0.35, but volume was below open interest in the strike. LUV fell 2.70 percent to $9.18

Wells Fargo (WFC): Some 22,000 April 30 puts were sold, mostly for $0.83 and $0.84, as investors look for the stock to hold its ground. Volume was almost twice open interest in the strike. WFC rose 0.80 percent to $31.34.
