KFC (NYSE: YUM ) has launched a meal box with a built-in USB charger .

The "Watt-a-Box" promotion is being offered in India - Mumbai and Delhi - in order to add "an element of utility" to the seemingly useless paper boxes that fried chicken comes with.

The KFC box is not available in every location and to every customer. In fact, only select customers in some of the chain's stores will be given the meal box, which will charge your phone when you need it most.

YUM stock is up 2.3% Thursday.
