The First Trust Nasdaq Semiconductor ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 324,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 57,000. Shares of FTXL were up about 1.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Nvidia, trading off about 2.7% with over 147.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Broadcom, up about 19.9% on volume of over 69.4 million shares. Advanced Micro Devices is lagging other components of the First Trust Nasdaq Semiconductor ETF Friday, trading lower by about 3.6%.
