Friday Sector Laggards: Railroads, Shipping Stocks

In trading on Friday, railroads shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.4%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Greenbrier Companies, down about 10% and shares of FreightCar America down about 3.4% on the day.

Also lagging the market Friday are shipping shares, down on the day by about 1.3% as a group, led down by Overseas Shipholding Group, trading lower by about 5.2% and Star Bulk Carriers, trading lower by about 5%.
