In trading on Friday, defense shares were relative laggards, up on the day by about 0.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Northrop Grumman, down about 0.2% and shares of Lockheed Martin down about 0.2% on the day.

Also lagging the market Friday are communicationss services shares, up on the day by about 0.6% as a group, led down by Oblong, trading lower by about 21.8% and Viasat, trading lower by about 12.8%.
