The motor industry was subject of Trump's tweets today and now Ford announces it's cancelling its Mexican plant

Ford is cancelling its plans for a $1.6bn plant in Mexico and will instead invest $700m in its Michigan plant.

Earlier the Trumpster tweeted that GM should not be building cars in Mexico and exporting them tax free to the US.

This is likely to be a big tick for Trumps policy for the US, and the US car industry but I can't help think that Ford might be playing a marketing game, while saving $900m on what they would have spent in Mexico. Call me a cynic.
