Credit: The ongoing feud between billionare investors Carl Icahn and Bill Ackman recently reached new heights. The two went head-to-head over the handling of Herbalife ( HLF ) which led to a more profanity-laden personal attacks on each others character. The spat was labeled by the talking heads as great financial television. I label it as just another reason why CNBC among others, is just reality TV...basically, the financial version of American Idol, Duck Dynasty or Gold Rush: Alaska.
Hopefully, one day, self-directed investors will be able to watch a television show that actually caters to their financial interests.
