In early trading on Thursday, shares of Verizon Communications topped the list of the day\'s best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 2.1%. Year to date, Verizon Communications registers a 15.2% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is International Business Machines, trading down 11.1%. International Business Machines is lower by about 24.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Salesforce, trading down 6.8%, and Caterpillar, trading up 2.1% on the day.
