In early trading on Monday, shares of Merck topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 2.1%. Year to date, Merck registers a 17.6% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Home Depot, trading down 1.2%. Home Depot is lower by about 4.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Dow, trading down 1.2%, and Boeing, trading up 2.0% on the day.
