In early trading on Thursday, shares of Verizon Communications topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 1.5%. Year to date, Verizon Communications registers a 12.2% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Goldman Sachs Group, trading down 3.3%. Goldman Sachs Group is lower by about 3.1% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are NVIDIA, trading down 2.4%, and Johnson & Johnson, trading up 0.7% on the day.
