In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Merck topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 3.8%. Year to date, Merck registers a 11.8% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Salesforce, trading down 4.0%. Salesforce is lower by about 23.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are International Business Machines, trading down 2.9%, and Cisco Systems, trading up 2.5% on the day.
