In early trading on Tuesday, shares of MMM topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 3.6%. Year to date, MMM registers a 13.2% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is Apple, trading down 3.3%. Apple is lower by about 11.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Goldman Sachs Group, trading down 2.5%, and Boeing, trading up 2.0% on the day.
