Brexit Poll Update: Has the Tide Turned?

If you look at our tracking poll you would think that Brexit is a slam dunk (see latest results below). If you look at bookmaker odds, you would think that Brexit is a long shot. If you look at public and online polls, you might say I am not sure what to believe. And then again if you look at the value of sterling and UK stocks, you might shake your head over some of the volatility, especially in the forex market.

Until a short time ago, momentum appeared to be that the vote would be to remain in the EU. Recent polls have narrowed and turned mixed. This has many asking the question, has the tide turned?

I am not here to answer the question as we only report our results and present some of the comments we receive from the man/woman on the street. So please send us your expectation for the EU referendum by clicking on the following link:

Has the tide turned?

As noted, what makes our poll unique are the comments we receive from our participants. We call this feedback from the man/woman on the street. Many of the comments we get show a passion, mainly from the Leave side. As a neutral observer, we encourage feedback from both sides, as illustrated below:

I plan to vote leave but fear remain will win as this is what the government wants. It depends on whether fear about the future wins out in the end. I also worry about a fair vote.

There is a large void is appearing between a media driven Remain Campaign and the Leave Campaign that is continually growing from the groundswell of public opinion against this media driven viewpoint. The positive views given by tens of thousands of Vote Leave and Brexit activists who have worked tirelessly across the UK in the public interest is starting to change voter perception.... Vote to Leave.

My view is that Brexit would be a huge and catastrophic step back in time for Britain. The EU protects our human rights and also protects small traders, ensuring the same standards are upheld throughout the EU countries. For the young, for our future, we must remain in the EU.

I should be the easiest to convince to vote Remain, but the Eurocrats have destroyed everything that was good. I'm voting Brexit because I want to participate in a Europe based on trade and business, not politics. I want today's kids to have the same enjoyment of Europe that I had.

So, has the tide turned? Only time will tell but for sure the battle over Brexit has heated up as the EU referendum nears. Markets should remain sensitive to polls but cautious as long as they stay close. Stay tuned for more from the man/woman on the street to see what UK voters are saying. .
