Don't you just hate when you have to surf through all of your video streaming services to find the perfect thing to watch?

Yes, that question would be shocking if asked five years ago. The frustration caused by managing the libraries of one's different video services is basically today's version of clicking through the 500 channel TV guide.

Regardless, it is a real problem for many "cord-cutters" who have subscribed to a handful of streaming services instead of a typical cable package. And now Amazon AMZN has a solution.

Starting today, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to peruse all of their libraries alongside one another thanks to the company's Streaming Partners Program . Prime subscribers already have access to Amazon Instant Video, but now just one account will be all that's needed to view libraries from other services like Showtime and Starz.

Of course, you still have to pay to access this content. For the two listed above, Amazon has brokered a discounted $9 per month price. Currently, the other options are limited and include smaller streamers like Qello and channel-based services like AMC and A&E.

Right now, there's no compatibility with Netflix NFLX or Time Warner's TWX HBO Now. However, it is clear that Amazon is positioning itself as a convenient option for those looking to cut the cord. Instead of the hassle of logging on to different sites and creating a handful of accounts, Amazon brings it all to one spot, just like a cable box does.
