Head of Business Development – Post Trade, Marketplace Technology

Christian Sjöberg, Head of Business Development – Post Trade within Nasdaq Marketplace Technology, is responsible for overseeing Nasdaq’s next-generation post-trade business architecture and strategy for serving the broader post-trade ecosystem. 

Prior to joining Nasdaq, Christian held a number of leading positions in the post-trade industry, including Managing Director for HKEX Next Generation Post Trade program, CEO for SIX x-clear – a leading pan-European clearinghouse for equities, CEO of Oslo Clearing, a regional multi-asset class clearinghouse, focusing on ETD, equities, and SLB, and as an advisor to Saudi Stock Exchange and Qatar Stock Exchange post-trade initiatives.

Christian has a deep understanding and knowledge of the international post-trade ecosystem, its intermediaries, and business drivers. He has been responsible for several large post-trade initiatives in Europe, including the transformation of the post-trade structure for the Norwegian market, competitive clearing, interoperability for derivatives, and running a number of technology replacement initiatives. 

Christian is based in Singapore and has a graduation in Business Administration from Linnaeus University in Sweden.
