Nasdaq provides a complete family of environmental indexes, tracking the growing clean-energy sector, also known as “Green” Indexes. The Indexes are comprised of companies working to enhance economic development based on reduction of carbon usage.
At the head of the family is the Nasdaq Green Economy Global Benchmark Index (QGREEN). It is designed to act as a performance indicator of stocks covering areas such as energy efficiency, clean fuels, renewable energy generation, natural resources, water, pollution mitigation and advanced materials.
