Nasdaq has really created a place that I come to every day and know that I’ll find excitement and challenges as well as support and connection.
As Samantha Moulder was finishing up law school, she was looking to gain some corporate experience, and an opportunity at Nasdaq’s Australian office grabbed her attention.
“I was searching to diversify my knowledge of the financial sphere. I wanted to learn as much as I could, as fast as I could, and I thought Nasdaq would be the best place to do that,” said Samantha. “Second, I wanted to join a company that was fast-paced and forward-thinking, where I could be challenged every day and take on a role and make it my own. The final thing that was really important for me was I wanted to join a company that embraced a diverse and global culture that could educate me about the differences that come from working with people from all over the world.”
Now working as a receptionist, Samantha has been completely captivated by the energy and positivity that lives within the Sydney office. The atmosphere creates a sense of mateship – an Australian idiom that embodies equality, loyalty and friendship – and purpose, said Samantha, adding that the collaborative environment has helped her grow personally and professionally.
“I’m just learning more than I ever thought possible about how I interact with colleagues, how to manage expectations, and how to create change in the workplace,” Samantha said. “For me, Nasdaq has really created a place that I come to every day and know that I’ll find excitement and challenges as well as support and connection.”
